Traditional project management approaches like waterfall methodology which relies on upfront project planning and sequential development process does not counter these situations and results in delay and exceeding the budget of the project quite significantly. The important steps in SCRUM for product development project are setting up Product Owner, Development Team, Product Backlog and Scrum Master. Once the project team and goals are aligned, the next step is to execute Sprints where short term goals along with time period are defined. Reviewing sprints is the last step to analyze the performance and short comings of the sprint. This is a cyclic process through which incremental objectives are achieved.
